My background

A practice built on evidence and partnership

« to place the patient in the center of the therapeutic relationship. »

I am a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adults. My practice is grounded in recovery-oriented, evidence-based care, with close attention to each patient's physical health, social circumstances and personal goals, not just their symptoms. I work collaboratively with GPs and, where relevant, other members of a patient's care network, to ensure coordinated and continuous support.

Frequently asked questions

Before you book

What happens at the initial consultation?

The initial consultation lasts approximately one hour. It covers your history, current difficulties and goals, and results in an initial diagnostic impression and treatment plan. A comprehensive psychiatric assessment, which includes a full written report, is also available.

What age group do you see?

I see adults aged 18 and over only. I am not able to accept referrals for children or adolescents under 18.

Do you offer online consultations?

Yes, follow-up consultations and medication reviews can be carried out by secure video call where clinically appropriate. Initial assessments are generally recommended in person.

Are your fees covered by insurance?

Many private health insurers offer partial cover for psychiatric consultations. I'd recommend checking directly with your provider, as cover varies by plan.

Can you complete a prescription, letter or form?

Yes, prescription requests and letter or form completion (for employers, insurers or other third parties) are available as separate services — see the fees above for details.
